The Gibraltar Basketball Academy will be hosting a Parents/Helpers Workshop on Monday 22nd June at 2000 hrs at the Garrison Gymnasium. The recruitment of additional Coaches/monitors is essential in-order to help launch several initiatives this coming September. The commitment required by the additional Helpers will be as little as one to two hours per week and scheduled times will be flexible on each individuals preferences. Increasing the number of helpers within the academy will guarantee us to maintain our coaching ratio of 1 coach to five/six players.   This will undoubtedly help us deliver our coaching/teaching methodolgy of correction repetition and attention to detail towards our comittment in enhancing  3 important elements of our game such as FUNdamentals, Co-ordination and Base-game (1 vs 1, 2 vs 2 and 3 vs 3) . As previously announced in late February the Academy intends to commence the “Baby Class” targeted for both boys and girls aged 4 and 5 years old. The application of hand eye co-ordination, tossing and catching and bio-mechanics and development of  human kenetics will be introduced through a fun based enriched enviroment . The class will commence at the beginning of September scheduled once a week and will be for one hour.
